Tunde Diya : The Relentless, Compassionate and Caring Progressive To Empower 800 Youths

We are approaching the Yuletide season, and as usual, the year is coming to an end with back to back Medical Outreaches and  Empowerment Programmes sponsored by the Dr Tunde Diya Foundation.

"Omo Diya" as he is fondly called by some has been consistent is his continuous marvel for the good people of Odogbolu Local Government in the past couple of years. Stemming from a mindset fixated on Nation Building through attention to intricate details of Community Development, the European trained Medical Doctor has decided to extend his engagement to Ijebu Central. With an Empowerment Programme focused on females aged 18 to 35 with businesses that need scaling up through proper registration and digitisation. The Enterprise Development Center (EDC) of DTDF plans to improve the lives of over Six Hundred (600) Youths across these Local Governments. The facilitation for this exercise is been done by Dr. Tunde Diya Foundation. 

"The idea is basically to enable the beneficiaries acquire the needed skills required of them to tap into the Global Digital Economy. With the Federal and State Governments with Foreign Partners are investing heavily in Digital Infrastructure across Nigeria, it is important for us to join this global race in the digital space and Ijebu Youths must not be left behind but should rather be at the forefront, keying into these great opportunities and maximizing it." Dr. Diya commented. 

The empowerment programme is set to start on the 21st to 24th November, 2023 in Odogbolu Local Government. Then, the team will on 28th to 30th move to Ijebu Ode and Ijebu Northeast Local Governments respectively. 

The young Doctor has always made it clear that the youth demography need to be engaged and activated to yield the desired economic returns for a prosperous Ijebu land. 

In a complete separate account of events, Dr Tunde Diya Foundation is partnering with Havilah, a faith-based organization to distribute Food Palliatives to about 200 needy people in Odogbolu. 

"As we all know that it is the period of festivities, it isn't coincidental that the year 2023 is coming to an end with the Dr Tunde Diya Foundation doing back to back Medical Outreaches, Empowerment Programmes and all sorts. It has indeed been a tough year for people and they should get all the support they can. Smiles appearing on people's faces should be a way to end the year. KURERE COMMUNITY WRITES ABEOKUTA NORTH ASSEMBLY MEMBER, PRINCE TELLA OVER DONATION OF SOLAR POWERED STREETLIGHTS

People of kurere community in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State have commended Hon. Dr. Babatunde Tella, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Abeokuta North State Constituency,
for the provision of solar street lights in the area.

 

The Chairman of the community Comrade Oludare Akinbola expressed deep appreciation for the solar lights generously provided by the lawmaker.

 

This was disclosed in a letter signed by the chairman, made available to newsmen on Wednesday.

 

Oludare added that this gesture is part of his election campaign promises.

 

The Kurere community, hailed Hon. Babatunde Tella for delivering on his promises and providing much-needed solar lighting infrastructure.

 

Oludare said “That is ‘promise made, promise fulfilled,’ and we are much grateful, sir.”

These solar lights have not only illuminated the streets of Kurere but have also brought a sense of hope and progress to the community.

 

Residents believe that they are beginning to experience the dividends of democracy under Tella’s leadership.

OGUN ASSEMBLY MINORITY LEADER, HON. ADELEYE FULFILLS ELECTORAL PROMISE, DONATE 500KVA TRANSFORMER TO IKOTO COMMUNITY

The minority leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olalekan Adeleye, has donated a 500 KVA Transformer to the people of Ikoto community in Odogbolu Local Government Area of the state 

Adeleye, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party representing Odogbolu State Constituency, stated this on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

He said the gesture was part of his electoral promise to the community, who he said had been in the dark for over two years.

Adeleye said, " I donated a 500kva brand new Transformer to the people of Ikoto Community who have been in darkness for over two years. 

"This is in fulfilment of our electoral promises while campaigning. Though, this didn't come easy but I am glad that we are able to put smiles on the face of our people."

DR. TUNDE DIYA TO EMPOWER ONE HUNDRED YOUNG FEMALE BUSINESS OWNERS

In commemoration of his birthday, Dr. Tunde Diya is set to facilitate the empowerment of over Hundred (100) Young Female, Business Owners between the ages of 18 - 35 years old, in line with his The Yellow Initiative (TYI) objectives.

In his brief message personally signed by the former Governor Liaison Officer from Tanimowo Villa, Odogbolu, Dr. Diya noted that "this is about empowering youths through enabling them with the needed support and ads on to foster thier businesses and expand thier market reach."

"Many of these youths who have their businesses already running and those who are just setting up newly, find it hard to push thier products beyond the usual market space and in turn do not maximize enough profit. The training which will take place at the Oladipo Diya Library in Odogbolu for two ( 2 ) days, will give access to Funding Opportunities, create Google Accounts, Digitilize thier businesses in order to tap into the Digital Economy and have business experts train them on ways to expand thier businesses."

Emphasizing that the continuous engagement of youths is something he has always been passionate about, he  prayed "God almighty to continue to strengthen me and many others who have similar drive in order to achieve a collective goal of prosperity of our people. The hope and objective is to keep transforming lives, while building our future together." remarked Dr Diya.

Dr. Tunde Diya has over the years impacted thousands of people through various interventions like scholarships, health outreach, environmental cleaning and many others.
