Chairman of the unit, Comrade Adegbokiki Kamorudeen, highlighted the prevalent hardships endured by Nigerian workers, emphasizing the disparity between earnings and the cost of living. Despite these adversities, workers remain steadfast in their duties, striving for improved conditions.
In response to the economic realities and as part of their commitment to member welfare, NASU BIODEC Owode introduced the BIODEC Owode Nano Support Scheme (BONSS). This initiative aims to provide uncollateralized and interest-free loans to members, with an initial allocation of ₦300,000, subject to review.
Under BONSS, eligible members can access a maximum loan of ₦20,000 repayable within three months. The scheme's management committee will soon announce the modalities for accessing this support.
As the celebration continues, Comrade Adegbokiki urged workers to remain focused on advocating for better working conditions and enhanced welfare for all Nigerian workers.
The launch of BONSS reflects NASU BIODEC Owode's dedication to supporting its members amidst economic challenges, ensuring their well-being and resilience in the face of adversity.
